Parents considering a quality education for their Primary School-aged children are invited to join an online live streamed event hosted by 国产麻豆AV on Tuesday, 26 May from 5:30pm to 6:15pm.
Head of Primary Trudi Edwards said the annual event was usually held in person on the College campus, however, the restrictions on hosting events due to COVID-19 had motivated the College to go online.
鈥淲e already have more than 20 new families who have signed to join us for the online session with members of our Primary Leadership Team as well as some of our teachers,鈥 Trudi said.
鈥淪chool education is one of the most important choices parents will make for their child and parents don鈥檛 need to wait until restrictions are lifted on school campus tours to get their information,鈥 she said.
鈥淛unior Primary is a critical time for young children to build their early literacy and numeracy confidence, and social and emotional skills, so it鈥檚 their choice of education that parents are researching very carefully.
鈥淭hrough this online session we will share how Flinders is committed to giving young children a strong start in life.
鈥淧arents will learn how our staff are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and immersing our students in a values-rich, supportive and high aspiration environment.
鈥淲ith a focus on personalised learning to ensure strong academic development, we are also deeply committed to enhancing our students鈥 learning dispositions.
鈥淲e want to encourage the development of positive, confident and skilled learners who develop the competencies required for the future.
鈥淲e believe that every child should be supported to realise their potential, and that鈥檚 why we encourage our students to explore their interests and embrace new opportunities.
鈥淥ur teachers at Flinders are incredibly committed and passionate about guiding children through this foundation stage of learning and making it fun, hands-on and robust.
鈥淥ur pastoral care focus is also very strong at Flinders as we believe that school should be as much about educating the heart, as it is the mind, and where the development of each student鈥檚 character is a priority.鈥
A video presentation will show a 鈥榙ay in the school life at Flinders鈥 to give parents a sense of what students experience each day.
The session will finish with a Q&A session with a guest panel including Flinders Head of Teaching and Learning, Mrs Debbie Planck and the Prep Year Level Co-ordinator, Prep teacher Mr Andrew Garrett.
